Naomi Grabham and Matthew Whitney have both been appointed Associate Directors at Charterhouse Auctioneers in Sherborne.Charterhouse Auctioneers, based at The Long Street Salerooms in Sherborne, are a family run business set up at the end of the last century. Owned and run by Richard and Abigail Bromell, the business has seen consistent growth and expansion over the past decade, and in particular, over the past 5 years. “Matthew, our Classic Car expert, has worked for us for nearly 12 years. Initially as a consultant, he moved to us full time 8 years ago. During this time he has sold millions of pounds of classic cars, with one auction last year totalling £360,000, making Charterhouse one of the leading firms of classic car auctioneers in the Country. ” Commented Richard Bromell. “Naomi first came to us on work experience before she had even taken her GCSE’s! After her A levels, she went to university where she passed her degree in Fine Arts & Valuation with flying colours, joining us immediately afterwards. Today, Naomi heads up our ceramic and glass department and is a well known and highly respected expert in Beswick and Royal Doulton. “In addition to these appointments, Charterhouse Auctioneers have also appointed Jade Bailey as a Business Administration Apprentice. She moves to Charterhouse from The Gryphon School in Sherborne. Jade will help with all aspect of administration in the business and has special responsibility for the post.
