The service being sold by Charterhouse comprises 72 pieces of Old English pattern cutlery and is a 12 place setting with additional pieces including soup and other ladles, a sugar sifter and even a small pair of sugar tongs. Made by Mappin & Webb in 1925, and fitted in the original oak canteen it is estimated to sell for £2,400-2,800.Charterhouse is now accepting further entries for this two day auction on 23rd and 24th February, which also includes gold, jewellery, wine, port and antiques.
